Elihu was raised in Pinellas County and attended Bishop Barry High School now known as St. Pete. Catholic High School. He earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Bethune-Cookman College, Daytona Beach, FL.
Elihu's new role is to promote a primary prevention of intimate partner violence model to stop domestic violence.
After twenty years of working primarily in Minority Business Enterprise development and finances, in 1987, Elihu accepted a position as a teacher of math at a local high school and he found what has ultimately become his calling: a positive male role model for kids. Over the last 17 years he has been a Teacher, a Counselor, a Case Manager and a Headmaster to hundreds of kids; operating from the mainstream classroom to a countywide impact, facilitating Violence prevention program workshops for youth in a campaign called "Raise Your Standards, Not Your Fist"
Elihu Brayboy has a varied business background. Elihu also a Dreamer, a Visionary with great talent, also has been a Stock Broker, a Mortgage Broker and an Executive Director responsible for making loans to small businesses. In addition he has been the Director of a Low Income Housing Program designed to help individuals own their own homes. Elihu handles the financial negotiations and acquisitions of their Real Estate Investment.
Elihu is most proud of his 29 year marriage to his high school sweetheart and wife Carolyn and their three children, Gus, who is married and also works with youth, Lynae and Ramona, and grand babies Aniyah, Lena and Madison |
