Reverend Scott C. Dorsey is a native of Philadelphia, PA and the son of Rev. Richard and Mamie Dorsey.  He is married to the former Debbie Myrick, a native of North Carolina.  The Lord has blessed this union with two beautiful children - Raven and Martin.  The family resides in Wayne, PA.  On October 31, 2004, Rev. Dorsey was installed as Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Holmesburg.

In 1998, Rev. Dorsey was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  He was ordained in 2000.  He is a former Philadelphia public school teacher and currently dedicates his life to the ministry of Jesus Christ by serving fulltime as Pastor, of Mount Zion.  Rev. Dorsey strongly emphasizes that Jesus Christ must be the center of worship, church education and evangelism. 

Rev. Dorsey is a humble servant of God who testifies that, "It is the Lord who provides the strength for me to preach and serve.  I do for Christ's sake and not my sake.  I know my own strength and understanding will fail me, but God will not fail me."
