Word of Truth Ministries International, Incorporated (formerly Full Gospel Outreach Ministries Incorporated) was envisioned on this premise – Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone – in August 1983. During that year, God responded to the spiritual needs of a very close-knit family and gave birth to the first bible class initially at the home of Apostle and Pastor Hankins. Later the bible class met at the home of Assistants Pastors Kenneth and Herticene Benjamin.

As the class size increased, this bible class moved in March 1985 to a building located at the junk yard (6310 Medgar Evers, Jackson, MS), thereby being given the name by those in the community as the “The Junk Yard Bible Class”. After the establishment of the Food Ministry (April 1985), the incorporation of Monday night intercessory prayer meetings, Friday night deliverance services, and numerous Crusades the ministry experienced continued growth, and many souls were saved and delivered. 

In April 1987 the ministry acquired the County Place Antique Store at 6390 Medgar Evers Boulevard, Jackson, and converted it to the new home of the ministry. Years later, the ministry moved to its current location of 4491 W. Northside Drive, Jackson, MS.
